The Science of SolvoMetallurgy

The science of SolvoMetallurgy is the methodology by which non-aqueous solutions are used as a solvent for selective extraction of metals from ores, concentrates and wastes.

The optimization of the formulation of the non-aqueous solutions is an art that can determine the impact of the process on the environment and the rate of extraction. SolvoMetallurgy is a complementary process to Hydrometallurgical and Pyrometallurgical methodologies that enable us to create a near zero environmental impact on the extraction of metals from ores, concentrates and wastes.

Solvometallurgy is a relatively new science, and there are few and far in between cases of successful commercialization of its processes.

SolvoMetallurgy research.

European countries have shown a keen interest in this science and have promoted it through academia. Whereas the entire scientific community is focused on advancing the science of SolvoMetallurgy, pH7 Technologies is sharply focused on using its research for the commercialization of these processes to create an immediate impact. We strongly believe that through commercialization, academic endeavours can be supported, which leads to their success and fruition.
